Midlife Coaching
Reflect on Identity • Navigate Transitions • Shape a Life of Meaning
Midlife is a threshold — a time when familiar roles, identities, and expectations begin to shift. Midlife therapy offers a reflective and supportive space to explore this passage with honesty, curiosity, and care.
My Approach
During midlife, what once felt clear or energizing may feel uncertain or flat. Within this disorienting shift often lies the possibility of deeper alignment, renewed purpose, and a more authentic relationship with oneself.
My work sits at the intersection of psychotherapy and coaching, bringing together emotional depth with thoughtful forward movement. Drawing from Gestalt therapy, parts-based approaches, and existential and humanistic psychology, I support clients in developing greater awareness of their inner world while also exploring what wants to emerge next in their lives.
Midlife is rarely just about solving a problem. More often, we are at threshold between a life of adaptation to external expectations and a life guided by a growing inner authority. Navigating this passage involves making meaning of one's life so far, tending to unresolved feelings or unfinished business, and reconnecting with values, creativity, and vitality.
Our work may include reflection, dialogue, experiential exercises, and gentle inquiry into the different parts of yourself that may be seeking expression, integration, or healing.
What This Work Supports
Questions about identity, purpose, or direction
Transitions related to career, family, relationships, or health
Feelings of restlessness, grief, or quiet dissatisfaction
A sense that an earlier chapter of life is ending
A feeling that something got too small - accompanied by a desire to reconnect with creativity, authenticity, or meaning
The wish to integrate past experiences in order to move forward with greater clarity
Often, clients arrive not because something is “wrong,” but rather a keen sense that something important is asking for attention.
Who This Work Is For
This work is for thoughtful individuals who sense that they are standing in a meaningful life transition. Many of my clients are professionals, leaders, caregivers, or creatives who have spent years focused on achievement, responsibility, and contribution.
At midlife, a new set of questions may arise:
Who am I now?
What truly matters at this stage of my life?
What choices do I make that either enlarge or diminish my sense of aliveness?
What wants to change, deepen, or begin again?
If you feel drawn to explore these questions in a reflective, grounded, and compassionate environment, this work may be a good fit.
How the Process Unfolds
Our work begins with conversation — understanding what brings you here and what feels most alive or unresolved in your life right now.
From there, sessions unfold organically, guided by what emerges in the moment as well as by your deeper intentions. We may explore emotional patterns, internal conflicts, personal history, or the meanings you are making of your experiences.
Along the way, many clients begin to notice greater self-understanding, emotional freedom, and a clearer sense of how they wish to live the next chapter of their lives.
Structure & Timeframe
Midlife therapy is typically conducted in weekly or biweekly sessions, allowing for continuity and depth in the work.
Some clients engage in this process for several months during a particular transition, while others choose to continue longer as part of an ongoing journey of personal growth and integration. The pace and duration are shaped collaboratively, based on your needs and intentions.
